THE STORY

All is well in the Prendergast household. Or at least, that is what Jonathan Prendergast would have you believe.

But as he struggles to cope with a cooling marriage, and his teenage daughter's burgeoning independence, he becomes maniacally obsessed with chasing off his daughter's handsome new boyfriend, and stretches his familial bonds - and his own sanity - to their limits.

Based on the short story by acclaimed Irish author Kevin Barryfrom his short story collection, "Dark Lies the Island." Barry most recently released the well-reviewedaward-winning novel, "Beatlebone" in the fall of 2015.

THE PRODUCTION

"Wifey Redux" was filmed in various locations around County Dublin, Ireland in June of 2015.

It is the result of a collaboration in between Producer/Director Robert McKeon, IFTA Award winning Producer Michael Donnelly V (Rockmount), Cinematographer Daniel Katz (Curfew, Before I Disappear), and an accomplished cast and crew - including prominent Irish actors Aidan McArdle (The Fall, Mr. Selfridge) and Angeline Ball (The Commitments, Shameless), up-and-coming young Irish actors Lauryn Canny and Craig Grainger, and British actors Shane O'Meara (Waterloo Road, Doctors), and Wallis Day (Krypton, Hollyoaks).

Post Production took place in the United States. The film was edited by Chris Catanach,Weston Caldwell, and Dan Swietlik, ACE of Stitch Editing.  Sound design took place at 740 Sound Design, and the film was color graded by Lee Hultman of Local Hero Post.

The film features an original score by composer Kevin Seaton, and songs by indie rock band Grouplove.
